PRESS RELEASE

AFROPOLITAN VIBES TO LAUNCH ITS VERY FIRST MUSIC FESTIVAL IN DECEMBER

After nearly four years, 43 editions and over 150 guest artists, Afropolitan Vibes goes large with its FIRST EVER music festival in the third weekend of December.

Co-produced by Ade Bantu and Abby Ogunsanya, Afropolitan Vibes Music Festival will take place on Friday December 16th and Saturday December – two days and nights of quality live entertainment and so much more.

AFROPOLITAN VIBES as you know it, will take place as usual on the main stage, but with a slight twist: two consecutive evenings of live music featuring lots of guest artists, some of whom will be  announce prior to the show and others that will make a surprise appearance on the night.

As usual, there will be plenty of palm wine on  sale.

In the day time, the audience will be treated to back to back acoustic live sets featuring select artists performing in the intimate setting of Kongi’s Harvest gallery. URBAN SESSIONS will be hosted by Ade Bantu and Buki Sawyerr Izeogu (Classic FM).

A host of GUEST DJs will provide music all around the park throughout the two-day festival, as well as at the after parties which will take place immediately after the evening shows.

The fun doesn’t end there!

The audience can browse the items on display at the AFROPOLITAN VIBES ART EXHIBITION AND MUSIC STORE and purchase any of our limited edition prints as well as items from the range of official merchandise, which will include t-shirts, mugs, beer glasses, festival bags and more.

There will also be a RETRO GAMES SECTION where people can chill with friends with a glass of palm wine, beer or a soft drink and play cards, ayo or draughts or have fun adding their unique designs to our colouring wall.

There will be DRUM CIRCLE that anyone can join to learn how to play any of the percussion  instruments available. There will also be numerous DANCE WORKSHOPS during the day.

At the AFROPOLITAN VIBES MUSIC STORE, there will be cds on sale  and the opportunity to take part in  meet and greet sessions with artists.

The most of activities is HUGE and more and more elements are being added each day to make this, THE major music festival of the year.
